Application procedure

Master edition 2018-2020: The call for applications is open.

Please note that for this edition Erasmus Mundus scholarship will be available. See more details about the scholarship offer in the Scholarships section.

The application is done online at the page: http://www.emundus.univ-montp2.fr/.

Go to the page to create your personnal account, then follow the instructions that are given by the application software. The application will collect all the electronical documents you have to submit (the list is done below). You can interrupt the submission at any time and continue the submission later. You can submit the scanned documents in several  formats, however PDF format is strongly recommended.

You must finish your electronic submission before the deadline, otherwise your application will not be validated. When done, you will get at the top of the page (when you are connected to the Application) the "Status of your actual application" ending with "Application sent", and you will receive an e-mail confirming your application has been received.

If you are unable to provide one of the requested documents, please  upload instead of it a document explaining the reason. If you obtain this document after the application deadline, send us the document by e-mail as soon as you get it.

Please do not send any document by post, the original (or certified copies) will be asked after the selection process.

If you are proposed for a scholarship or on a self-paying student basis, your data may be used for the purposes of evaluating the programmes, efficiently manage the projects, and producing statistics. Data could be made available to the EACEA, the European Commission, the European External Action Service staff, as well as to other stakeholders of the Erasmus+ programme, such as Erasmus+ National Agencies, National Erasmus+ Offices and the Erasmus Mundus Student and Alumni Association. We value your privacy.

Requested documents

  1. Application form dully filled out (online form).
  2. Photo.
  3. Detailed Curriculum Vitae in English specifying scientific and professional experiences, academic degrees, conference presentations, publications and special skills. Maximum 3 pages (PDF format preferred).
  4. Letter of motivation in English covering the following aspects: what made you decide to apply to the EM3E Master course, which skills and abilities make you a good candidate for EM3E-4SW, your motivations to study abroad, your professional interests and your career goals and expectation. In case of non-European candidates, their goals and interests in coming to Europe for education (statement of purpose) must be included in this letter. Maximum 1 page. The letter must be provided in 2 copies: one handwritten, one typed (PDF format preferred).
  5. Academic degree(s) in original language and translated into English, stating the final classification obtained (first university degrees and others - do not send secondary school diploma) (PDF format preferred).
    Please note that if you are in the process of obtaining your Bachelor degree, you may also apply for admission to the EM3E-4SW master. For it, please upload a letter from your university stating the expected date of completion of the degree. After graduation, you have to submit the degree and official transcripts before the start of the EM3E-4SW Master (September 1st 2018) (PDF format preferred).
  6. Academic transcript(s) in original language and translated into English, listing the grade/rank/mark of each discipline/subject attended to obtain each degree (first university degrees and others - do not send secondary school diploma). All courses taken must be included (PDF format preferred).
  7. An official document, from the last institution visited, College, University or Technical School, stating his/her relative position in the corresponding graduation course, i.e., top 5%, top 10% or top 20% of your Bologna 1st cycle class or of your bachelor’s course (PDF format preferred). If you are unable to provide this document, please upload instead of it a document explaining the reason.
  8. Official proofs of English language proficiency. English language tests accepted are: TOEFL-iBT (required overall of at least 90); IELTS (required overall score of at least 6,5); University of Cambridge (“Certificate of Proficiency in English” or “Certificate in Advanced English”). Other official proof could be admitted under validation of the EM3E-4SW committee (PDF format preferred).
    Exception: Candidate from English speaking countries or candidate who completed his/her bachelor degree in English as medium of instruction must provide an official letter from his/her university from which he/she graduated attesting that English is the media of instruction (PDF format preferred).
  9. Official proofs of other language proficiency (where applicable) (PDF format preferred).
  10. Two reference letters* in English. The first referee from faculty from which you obtained your degree. The second, from faculty or from an employer or supervisor. The letters have to be written on letterhead of the referee’s organisation, include the signature and the contact details of the referee, and (when possible) have the stamp of the institution. Letters not respecting these requirements will NOT be accepted (PDF format preferred).
  11. Passport (preferably) or identification card (PDF format preferred).
  12. Proof of place of residence (e.g. residence certificate or certificate from the applicant's place of work, study or training). The document must have been issued within 12-months before January 31st 2018.

* In order to submit the reference letters, you have two possibilities:

- When you give the e-mail address of your referees on the application form, the referee will receive a personal e-mail with instructions to upload the letter. When done, you will see in the  application software that we have received the recommendation letter (you will not be able to see the document itself).

- If your referee provide you the letter, you can upload by yourself the electronic document using the application software.

- In both cases, those students selected will be asked to provide the originals of their reference letters.
